The Location and Community

The home is situated on a 60 by 100 lot in the West Hills of Bremerton about 1/2 block west of National Avenue on G Street.  The elevation is almost 100 feet above Sea Level.  On a clear day there is a view of Mount Rainier from the property.  There is a bus stop and fire hydrant at the corner of National Avenue and G Street where there is a convenience store/grocery store on one corner, a Laundromat on another and a popular burger stand / restaurant on another corner all at the same intersection.  West Hills Elementary school is located one block north of G Street at the corner of Preble Street and National Avenue within easy walking distance for youngsters starting their education.  The school is a low enrollment, high standard school in the Bremerton School District.  One block to the south on National Avenue is the well loved National Avenue Tavern that has been a community gathering spot for decades.  The West Side Improvement Club is a community center with activities for the whole family from Bingo and dancing to a playground within 3 blocks of the house.  The Fire Department has one of the best response time records in the County and is staffed partially by volunteers with a full time first responder staff.  There are several churches within a mile of the house and all types of shopping are available within a short drive of less than 2 miles.  Living in this home you will be conveniently located close to Downtown Bremerton and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.  You are as close as a short scenic ride aboard the Washington State Ferry system to downtown Seattle where you can experience all types of entertainment such as sports events, the arts, museums and more.
